Logo Design

How we approach logo development

Your logo is the first impression customers have about your business. It should reflect your business' values and strengths. Your logo should be distinct from others in your market and industry. When you purchase the $25 logo online, you are not getting a custom logo, but basically you are getting clip art that anyone else can also purchase. I've seen an example firsthand of two pet boutiques within 10 miles of eachother with the same logo purchased online... now that will confuse your customers!

When you work with Concept Marketing on your logo design, we listen to your ideas and business needs and create a custom logo that is memorable, unique and easily recognizable.

We will send you a minimum of three design ideas for your logo based on a conversation about your particular needs. In the first revision process, you will pick one design to go forward with and send your comments and critiques on the design and color choice. We will use your comments to revise and polish the logo overall design & color options. In the second revision process, we will send your logo with a minimum of two color options to choose from. Based on our experience, clients are usually happy with their logo design at this point, and there is no need for further revisions. There are occasions though that we must make further revisions, and we can discuss those as they arise.

Logo Design Steps

  1. Meet with client (in person or on phone).
  2. Designer will take ideas from client meeting and design a minimum of three custom logos which will be sent to the client.
  3. Client chooses the logo that they would like to go forward with, and comments on the color choice, design elements, etc they would like changed.
  4. Designer revises the logo to client's specifications and sends back a refined logo with a minimum of two color options.
  5. Client chooses between the two color options and addresses any additional concerns.
  6. Designer polishes & refines the desired logo and addresses all concerns, providing the final logo design for client approval.
  7. Upon approval, client will receive logo design files in eps, psd, jpg, and gif format for their use in all marketing pieces, on website, etc.
